I’ve read a topic that’s very similar to the subject of this posting. I’ve looked at the page that was recommended as a fix for the issues One way of getting 292 onto Win10.. I have a couple of extra questions though.
The linked page says to find a registry key on the old computer and export it, and then to, “Select “Registry | Import Registry File” from the main menu and open the above *.reg file.” That wouldn’t overwrite the entire Win10 registry, right? And is that all I’d have to do in order to get HTML-KIT 292 to work on Win10 with all of my customization? I have installed 292 onto my Win10 box, and I’ve copied a lot of files over, but I’m not seeing the extensive customizing that I have on my HTML-KIT 292 installation on my old Vista box. Will importing that registry file do the trick?
Also, I have the plugins generator on the Vista box. And I’ve made a lot of customized plugins, which make creating Web pages much easier than it would be if I were to just start typing away in HTML-KIT without the plugins. How do I get those plugin files, and the plugin generator, installed on the Win10 box? I don’t think that I have the installation files for the plugin generator on my old computer and I’m not finding the installation file on this site. Can anyone point me to that plugin generator installation file here?
Thanks for any help.
PS - I had to create my account all over again just now. I hadn’t been up here for years. I first started using HTML-KIT 292 in early 2009, and I had an account then. Earlier today I was able to log in here, but then the system said I wasn’t logged in anymore, and I had to re-create the old account. Just letting the folks in charge know.
