So glad I found this thread. I just installed HTML-Kit yesterday, and for the first time was poking around in it today, after uploading a very rudimentary HTML file I created a couple of weeks back (I'm a total novice to this whole creation and editing of HTML docs...just beginning to teach myself).
Anyhow, I was seeing what Tidy was all about, and clicking below on the messages it was showing for issues it found, when my computer started doing what people are describing above...desktop went totally black, except for a block or two of text from the program. I could click where the remaining blocks should be, and they would repopulate, but then others would disappear.
I don't know how to use plugins, so I don't think I was using any. I've never had this happen to me with any other app on this laptop before (it's an HP Envy, running Windows 10 for the last year or so, when I was "forced" to upgrade from 8.

I think it's a really neat program. I'll keep an eye on this thread and see if the issue is narrowed down. I maybe could try to tweak things, but they'd need to be simple tweaks, as I'm not a computer geek by any stretch. =)
