Something odd about HTML-Kit?

Are there things you find odd about HTML-Kit?

 

Maybe how untitled tabs are named?

 

Maybe that animal pic on the splash screen (only in TreeHouse builds... or even that name "TreeHouse")

 

It won't come as a surprise to friends of HTML-Kit on here that I'm a nerd at heart But I don't want quirks in the interface distract anyone away from evaluating HTML-Kit for professional use.

So if anything odd/weird/quirky jumped at you, in the interface or even how I provide support, please don't be shy about letting me know. You can post here or email me.

There is nothing odd in the slightest about calling files sneezing parrot or jumping bunny

It used to bother me, but I sort of got used to it I'd prefer if they were called something normal.

As for the icon thing, if you were going to change it, maybe subtlety is the way forward so everyone still knows that it's HTML-KIT so just change the bird if that's the way you feel like going.
For me if I don't like something that much I change the ico to something I do. I never give much notice to when something is loading, it just does it when I'm doing something else.

Point well taken. The animal/bird pic on the splash screen of TreeHouse builds, which are somewhat internal builds, was kind of a software code name. But then I got a couple of emails last month asking if the bird pic was there on purpose. So... maybe time to be slightly less geeky about these things

That's interesting or interesting to me, about the software code names. I use Linux when I feel like batting my head against a wall and some of their names might come from something like this, Cinnamon etc, although I didn't see frustration on that list I guess Android as well have names akin as well.

I like the new file names that some feel are "geeky" or strange. I am much less likely to forget to change the name than if it were a "traditional" name.

On the other hand, I have been known to exchange emails with a more or less self-aware AI so maybe I am "geeky"

You know AIs learn from feedback loop so you kinda sorta sound like an enabler in all this!
