I'm putting this under the "Tools" heading, since a couple of these quirks that were in the previous builds and, I'm guessing, that this Treehouse has been up long enough that it is pretty close to becoming the official version.
If not, please feel free to move it to a category of your choosing.
Now that I've got my mapped drives back (thanks again!), on to other things.
1) When invoking the "Extended Preview for Devices": Once turned on, some of the text and the QR Code take over the window and there is no way to turn off the preview, except to exit the program. I seem to recall that in an earlier build, there was an "off" icon?
2) As in previous builds, if I start a new document, the edit window wants to indent all my text. I've followed the instructions you posted some time back (going up into the Preferences section) and I can attest that nothing works. Ideas?
3) Another hang over from an earlier build, if I switch to the Preview view from the editing window, I have no list of installed browsers in the section at the bottom of the window ("In Browser"). I can access the browsers from the "View" menu at the top and it shows, correctly, that I have IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari all installed. All these browsers are in their default installations. Any way to detect the browsers?
On other things, I was quite serious when I mentioned doing a complete uninstall and clean re-install in our last discussion over the missing mapped drives. I really can't tell you how old my files are for Tools, but I know that they have been copied back and forth between computers for a number of years and I suspect that some of my problems may be because of this copying back and forth. I've got Tools installed on (at this point) 4 computers (none of which are used simultaneously): 2 running Windows 10, one running Windows 8.1 and one running Windows 7. Of these, one of the Windows 10 and the Windows 7 are both in Virtual Box (the Windows 10 being a clone of the Windows 7). Over time, the configuration files have been moved between one computer and another until I can't even keep straight which version was set up first.
I'm just curious what your thoughts are regarding starting fresh. Figure I would have to export all my snippets, but then the rest would be fairly straightforward for the interface. What I wonder is if this would find the browsers and fix the indenting?
Also, if a fresh install is done, do I have a registration code I need to insert. Only email I can find on file for registration is from 2005 when I bought either Tools or HTML-Kit...don't really remember (getting old is a bitch!...LOL).
That's all for now.
