Hey there, everybody. I’m sorry to bother you with what I hope is just a dumb question, but…
When I start and use HTML Kit (version 20170321), all is wonderful and fine. And when I choose to exit from HTML Kit, the windows closes out and all appears fine.
If I Right-Click on an HTML file and try to OPEN WITH: HTML Kit Tools, nothing happens.
If I go to the normal icon to start it up, nothing happens.
It actual fact, it’s still running in the background. In the examples I gave above, it ends up just running more copies of HTML Kit in memory. I have resorted (perhaps a bit of overkill) to using the TASKKILL command to kill any instances of it in memory. In doing so, it gets rid of it and, again, all is right with the world again.
My question to all of you is:
Why doesn’t it fully exit? Or, if it’s not supposed to exit, how do I get back into it again? I have had some programs before this that have the option to not exit, they just move to the System Tray and you can bring them back by clicking or right-clicking on that tray icon.
I’ve looked through all the preferences I can find in HTML Kit Tools, and nothing seems to hint at this feature, let alone how to turn it off.
Does this happen to anyone else? Is there some setting, maybe in the registry or an INI file that I need to change to fix this?
If it matters, I’m running it on a machine with:
Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit
64 GB RAM
All Windows and HTML Kit updates are in place up to the current moment.
